What can I expect to pay for FASENRA?

The list price for FASENRA is $5,847.05* per 30 mg/mL or $1,949.02* per 10 mg/mL. However, it is important to understand that this list price may not be reflective of your cost for FASENRA. Your out-of-pocket costs are determined by your insurance type.

The information below may help you estimate your cost for FASENRA based on your insurance, but your insurance provider can provide more specific information.

Insurance Type:

Employer-Provided or Individual Private Policy

For people with employer or individual private insurance, the average out-of-pocket cost is $46 per dose. You may be eligible for the FASENRA 360 Savings Program, regardless of coverage. You may pay as little as $0 for FASENRA and as little as $0 for its injection administration.

Medicare

For people with Medicare Advantage plans, the average out-of-pocket cost is $90 per dose. This represents about 1/3 of all people with Medicare. People with traditional Medicare Part B without supplemental insurance will pay a 20% coinsurance; however, 81% of people with Medicare§ will have a supplemental insurance plan that covers some or all of their out-of-pocket costs.

Medicaid

For people with Medicaid, the average out-of-pocket costs range from $2-$9 per dose. Some states offer even lower copays or eliminate the copay altogether.

No Insurance or No Coverage

If you do not have insurance coverage or your insurance does not cover FASENRA, you can expect to pay the amount determined by your pharmacy, which will vary.

What if I can’t afford my FASENRA?

AstraZeneca is committed to providing assistance if you can’t afford your FASENRA:

  • FASENRA 360 provides a range of support services if you are on FASENRA, including reimbursement support, affordability programs if you are eligible, nursing support for FASENRA questions, and ongoing education
  • If you have private insurance, you may be eligible for the FASENRA Savings Program regardless of coverage. You may pay as little as $0 for FASENRA and as little as $0 for its injection administration
  • To learn more about the support services available to you, call us Monday-Friday, 8 AM to 6 PM ET at 1-833-360-HELP (1-833-360-4357) to speak to one of our Patient Navigators who are ready to help you
  • If you still face affordability challenges, FASENRA is included in AZ&Me, which is a free drug program if you have no insurance or Medicare

IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION

Do not use FASENRA if you are allergic to benralizumab or any of the ingredients in FASENRA.

Do not use to treat sudden breathing problems.

 

FASENRA may cause serious side effects, including:

  • allergic (hypersensitivity) reactions, including anaphylaxis. Serious allergic reactions can happen after you get your FASENRA injection. Allergic reactions can sometimes happen hours or days after you get your injection. Tell your healthcare provider or get emergency help right away if you have any of the following symptoms of an allergic reaction:
    • swelling of your face, mouth and tongue
    • breathing problems
    • fainting, dizziness, feeling lightheaded (low blood pressure)
    • rash
    • hives

Before using FASENRA, tell your healthcare provider about all of your medical conditions, including if you:

  • are taking oral or inhaled corticosteroid medicines. Do not stop taking your corticosteroid medicines unless instructed by your healthcare provider. This may cause other symptoms that were controlled by the corticosteroid medicine to come back
  • have a parasitic (helminth) infection
  • are pregnant or plan to become pregnant. It is not known if FASENRA will harm your unborn baby. Tell your healthcare provider if you become pregnant during your treatment with FASENRA
  • are breastfeeding or plan to breastfeed. It is not known if FASENRA passes into your breast milk. Talk to your healthcare provider about the best way to feed your baby if you use FASENRA
  • are taking prescription and over-the-counter medicines, vitamins, or herbal supplements.

Do not stop taking your other medicines unless instructed to do so by your healthcare provider. Tell your healthcare provider if your condition does not get better or if it gets worse after you start treatment with FASENRA.

The most common side effects of FASENRA include: headache and sore throat. These are not all the possible side effects of FASENRA.

APPROVED USE

FASENRA is a prescription medicine used:

  • with other asthma medicines for the maintenance treatment of asthma in people 6 years and older whose asthma is not controlled with their current asthma medicines. FASENRA is not used to treat sudden breathing problems.
  • to treat people 18 years and older with eosinophilic granulomatosis with polyangiitis (EGPA).
